ASB SPORTS UPDATES 2017 - 2018
The Athletic Program at the American School of Bangkok continued to grow again in the 2017-2018 school year with 38 Teams playing at the elementary, middle and high school levels in the Bangkok International Schools’ Athletic Conference (BISAC). The ASB Eagles also competed in friendly games against other International schools in Bangkok and entered into multiple friendly tournaments to give our student-athletes opportunities to grow their skills. At the U11 levels, both campuses were able to put in individual teams with the number of young student-athletes continuing to grow. At the Sukhumvit campus, Volleyball participation increased substantially from one team to six teams for the 2017-18 school year.
Our basketball and golf programs continued to excel while the swimming, volleyball, soccer, softball, badminton, swimming and cross country/track teams worked very hard to become much more competitive. This year our Varsity aged badminton team grew to nearly 30 student-athletes and we also sent 27 student-athletes to the BISAC
