Loy Krathong is one of Thailand’s most spectacular and unique festivals celebrated annually all over the country. It takes place on the full moon night (in November) in the traditional Thai lunar calendar.
This year, Loy Krathong falls on Thursday, November 22, 2018. We encourage parents, students and staff to come to school dressed in traditional Thai costumes to celebrate the event.
ASB Sukhumvit campus students will also be involved in ‘Krathong’ making activities, from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. in the following locations:
- Elementary students will make their ‘Krathongs’ in their homeroom classes.
- Middle and high school students will gather in the auditorium to make their ‘Krathongs’.
High school students from Thai Language and Culture classes will assist the students in their homeroom classes and also in the auditorium in making the ‘Krathongs’. Parents are welcome to join in the activities in the above times and locations. Students may take their finished ‘Krathongs’ home.
We look forward to seeing you on the day.
