Holidays & Celebrations

ASB is filled with different activities that students can choose from. They join clubs and participate in events that they are interested in. During the Christmas Show, students sing, dance, act, and play in bands. Parents are invited to watch their child perform.

On Halloween Day, little children dress up in different costumes and go trick and treating at classrooms and offices. The staff and teachers are always ready to supply them with candies and sweets. The children themselves go around to ‘trick or treat’ the teachers and staff. The homerooms decorate their doors with posters relating to the event. The older students enjoy the Halloween dance and games.

ASB celebrates many national holidays such as Loy Krathong and Songkran. Students come to school dressed up in Thai costumes, float krathongs, enjoy Thai desserts, and "rum-wong" to the traditional song in a circle. It is important that overseas students understand the traditions and cultures of the country in which they are living and that Thai students appreciate and understand their own traditions.

ASB also celebrates national Mother’s and Father’s Day, Thanksgiving, Chinese New Year, Valentine’s Day, and organizes a grand international food fiesta to celebrate cultural diversity.
