Food and Supplies Drive to Benefit the Mercy Centre (December 3, 2020)

In mid-October 2020, the ASB Middle School Service Learning Club organized a food and supplies drive to support the Mercy Centre, which is a 40-year-old foundation that helps communities by building schools, improving family health and welfare, protecting street children’s rights, and giving shelter to orphans.

Since the onset of COVID-19, the Mercy Centre has faced shortage in food, general amenities and school supplies for their day-to-day operations needed to take care of the children under their shelter. So a month-long food and supplies drive was organized by the students. Over 1000 non-perishable food, household items and school supplies were collected.

On December 3rd, 2020, ASB students gathered all the collected items and delivered them to the foundation. We thank everyone in our school community for their support, involvement, and contribution to this wonderful cause.
