ABOUT THE AMERICAN SCHOOL OF BANGKOK
Greetings from The American School of Bangkok!
We are a private Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 12 school offering an American Curriculum with an international perspective. ASB has two campuses - the Sukhumvit Campus (at Sukhumvit Soi 49-3), and the Bangna Campus (Bangna Trade Km 15). For more information about the school, click into the school's website www.asb.ac.th
The American School of Bangkok (ASB) organizes the ‘Sukhumvit Fair’ each year in order to celebrate the cultural diversity, promote international cohesiveness within our community, and allow the school to reach out to the greater community with genuine humanitarian spirits for “those who are in need” by providing a fund-raising venue for a Thai or international charitable program.
The American School of Bangkok held its first Fun Fair in 1995. Following success and steady growth, the event was renamed the ‘Sukhumvit Fair’ to suit our aim of bringing unity to our richly diverse community. Previous fairs accommodated 3,000 visitors. The net proceeds generated from prior Sukhumvit Fairs were used to support different causes such as UNICEF; tsunami relief foundations; the Chai Pattana Foundation; the Foundation of Thai Elephant Conservation; the Home for the Blind with Multiple Disabilities at Ram-intra; the provincial schools under the AMCHAM Adopt-a-School program; the Prostheses Foundation of HRH the Princess Mother; and the Green World Foundation.
The American School of Bangkok is delighted to announce that the Sukhumvit Fair 2011 will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at The American School of Bangkok (Sukhumvit 49-3) from 3:00 - 10:00 p.m. The theme of the event is ‘Together We Share+..'. The event is ASB community members’ collective effort to communicate and raise awareness for help that is needed by the people and children in Bangkok local slums areas.
The American School of Bangkok extends an invitation to everyone in the community to attend the fair. The Sukhumvit Fair is open to the public free of admission.
