Many of our academic staff are professionals in their own fields of knowledge and have turned to teaching to share their wealth of knowledge and skills with the younger generation. All staff are up-to-date with current curriculum developments.
The American School of Bangkok also supports teachers who undertake study for further qualifications. Annually, members of the school administration will attend the EARCOS conference.
The faculty is committed to improving student learning leading to the achievement of the school's expected school wide learning results (ESLRs).

THAI LANGUAGE AND CULTURE TRAINING FOR ASB TEACHERS
Many ASB teachers participated in the Thai language and culture training session at ASB Bangna campus on Friday, November 5th 2010. This workshop was a part of a 20 hour program that all teachers had to complete, as required by the Thai Ministry of Education. The session was very informational and gave teachers a greater understanding of Thailand and its history and culture.
The same group of teachers also attended a special field trip to Rose Garden on Saturday, November 13th 2010 to tour an organic farm, engage in Thai crafts activities see Thai houses, visit local handicrafts shops and the floating market, and watch an elephant show.
Attending teachers were asked to submit a journal outlining their reflection of the activities.
