The beginning of this year has been very special for the ASB community. The American School of Bangkok officially celebrated the 11th year of its annual charitable event - the Sukhumvit Fair - on Saturday, January 21st 2012. With more than 4,000 attendants from both expatriate and Thai communities, the fair was a truly exceptional experience for all. Imagine this, many cuisine booths sold out by 8:00 p.m. -- two full hours before the end of the event. Our coupons and games stations also ran out of coupons shortly after that! It was indeed incredible!
Supported by corporate sponsors from diverse fields of business, the event not only celebrated ASB’s cultural diversity, but also brought about a strong community spirit. Fair attendees witnessed the transformation of our school campus into a magical fair ground, and were mesmerized by the stage that accommodated wonderful performances by talented ASB students and invited guests. They enjoyed the different variety of activities at the event ranging from children’s attractions, to the exquisite international cuisine, fun kids’ activities, enjoyable games and prizes, and the grand raffle draw. Many people also commended on the enthusiastic and wholehearted participation of students and teachers at the games and student group organized booths. The Sukhumvit Fair was a truly exceptional experience for everyone.
The American School of Bangkok expresses heartfelt thanks to all corporate sponsors and ASB community members for the support, participation, and contribution towards the fair. Your involvement in all forms --- monetary donations, raffle sponsorship, attraction sponsorship, advertisement sponsorship, and booth participation --- has added an enormous flair and made a great difference to the entire event. Thank you once again for being part of this charitable event, and making it a memorable experience for all of us!
