During September, the great Ike Nwankwo from the NBA came to ASB to show our students some great tips and strategies to help them improve their basketball. As well as playing all over Europe and representing his motherland Nigeria, he also played in the NBA with the Miami Heat (2000), Houston Rockets (2001), Cleveland Cavaliers (2002) and the Los Angeles Lakers (2004).
Standing at an impressive 6 feet 11 inches, Ike was born in Houston, Texas on December 27th 1973. He now wants to focus on helping youngsters improve their game, not only individually, but also making them more aware of team tactics. This was an experience our budding ASB basketball players treasured, and will never forget.
