The 2011-2012 academic year brings further growth to the golf program with the addition of two teaching professionals and four days a week of fitness programming. Coming off a strong 2011 season, placing first in the “Eagle Cup” and second overall in BISAC golf, we hope to continue with success this year for the 2011-2012 season.
The American School of Bangkok also expresses our heartiest congratulations to the following students who have achieved exceptional success in golf.
• Weerawish Narkprachar (PJ), currently studying in Grade 2 at ASB Bangna (Green Valley) campus, recently won the ISF (International Sports Federation) Championship, and ranks number one in the country for his class.
• Rina Tatematsu, currently a Grade 5 student at ASB Sukhumvit Campus, has been playing golf for the past three and a half years. She has practiced regularly and her dedication has paid dividends as she has gone from a novice, to winning over twenty tournaments. What is even more amazing is that she has hit a hole in one not once, but on three occasions. She won the ISF Golf Club Tournament 2011, and ranks number one in Class D for Girls. Rina is now rated the number one female golfer for her age in Thailand.
• Benyapa (Gift) Niphatsophon, currently a Grade 8 student at ASB Bangna (Green Valley) Campus, has done exceptionally well. Her exceptional performance at the international level has placed her first overall in the World Masters of Junior Golf in Las Vegas. • Chutikan (View) Jongjintaraksa, currently a Grade 10 student at ASB Bangna (Green Valley) Campus, has won countless championship titles. She is recently the winner of the U.S. Kids Golf Thailand Qualified Tournament 2011 - North Carolina America in USA.
