Dear Parents,
The ASB Management Team has just met this afternoon to discuss our various options regarding our status as a result of the civil unrest.
Decision 1: The school will be closed until the end of this week (May 21, 2010). We will re-assess later this week.
Decision 2: Commencement Ceremony has been postponed until next Tuesday May 25th 2010. Practice will take place beginning at 9.00 a.m. followed by official Ceremony at 4.00 p.m.
Note: This is dependent on the school re-opening on Monday. Please stay tuned.
Decision 3: Final Exams for Middle and High school students:
In place of final exams students will be given two options.
Option A:
Students may do a culminating task. Teachers are required to send a copy of this assignment to the Registrar of each school, the Curriculum Coordinator, Assistant Principal and Principal.
Option B:
Students may choose to have the mark that they have accumulated so far, be averaged over 100% instead of 80%.
Decision 4: Kindergarten Graduation will take place on both campuses on Wednesday, May 26th 2010 at 10.00 a.m.
Decision 5: Bangna: If dorm students wish to go home, they may do so with no penalty to these students; however, Options A and B still apply.
Decision 6: ONESQA will visit Sukhumvit Campus on May 24-25 and Bangna Campus on May 26-27.
Middle and High school parents, please ensure that your children check each subject’s wiki space http://asbclosure.wikispaces.com/ for assignments and their culminating activity. Should there be any individual concerns, please contact your school’s administrators.
