Gala Charity Event 2011 - 'Helping Hands Heal Flood Victims'

The American School of Bangkok has come a long way since it was built twenty-seven years ago. For over two decades our administrators, faculty and staff have shared a collective vision of instilling excellence and values and building strong leadership qualities in our students. Most importantly, we teach our children the magnitude of giving and having compassion for the community, and that the world can be a better place if people understand and truly care about one another. We help our children understand that their actions can make a difference in people’s lives, and create a rippling effect upon the world. ASB has witness great success in its prior charitable efforts, and raised money for many Thai and international organizations.

 

And now, in the wake of the severe floods that hit many provinces in the south of Thailand last November, it has come to our attention that many communities and schools are still in need of funds to rebuild their lives. Therefore, The American School of Bangkok will be organizing a special charity gala event under the theme “Helping Hands Heal Flood Victims” to raise funds to support the flood victims in Thailand. This event will be held on Sunday, March 20^th 2011 at the Conrad Hotel (Grand Ballroom) from 1:00 till 5:30 p.m.

 

The tentative program for the day is as follows:
1:00 - 1:30 p.m. Registration / Social Network
1:30 - 1:45 p.m. Acknowledgment to Sponsors
1:45 - 2:00 p.m. Fashion & Jewelry Walk
2:00 - 3:15 p.m. Musical Shows (Performed by students of The American School of Bangkok))
3:15 p.m. Dinner / Live Music and Band
5:15 - 5:30 p.m. Final Word of Thanks

 

The tickets to this event are available at the school’s Finance office, and they cost 1,500 Baht per person. This includes a scrumptious full-course early dinner from the hotel. Vegetarian and non-vegetarian selections are available. So come and enjoy a fantastic afternoon with wonderful dinner as you socialize with expatriates of the international community, and watch an enticing fashion and jewelry walk by well-known celebrities. In addition to this, the very much talented and sweet children of The American School of Bangkok will also be performing extravagant musical shows. The net proceeds from the event will be forwarded to the affected communities and schools in the south of Thailand.
